F is for Free

April 7th 2011 13:56
Fitness can be FREE!

Pills, potions, trainers, gyms, equipment, classes and any other scheme clever marketers can dream up, are just extras. Not necessary, most are completely overrated and others are just plain silly.

The A to Z blogging challenge brings us to the letter F. While I could have written about fluids, (very important to stay hydrated), focus, (yes, you have to stick with your goals), or generically write about fitness...I chose FREE.

If you are waiting to get fit until you can swing a gym membership....

buy an iPod, hire a trainer, or purchase the latest miracle powder or infomercial wonder tool -

stop. think. move.

Free Fitness Tips;

Do Bodyweight exercises
Can you do 50 push-ups? Push Up Exercise Routine
Body weight exercises can be the sole focus of your workout regimen. Exercise where ever you are, with no special equipment.
Build a Strong Core

Walk, run, skip....Speaking of skipping, funny story - After recently moving in my neighborhood, my 13 year old daughter decided to skip down the sidewalk to her new friends house. She is tall for her age, but happy to the core, so she skips. A neighbor later told us she wondered who the skipping woman was.... Be a skipping woman, or man, or teen...it is great exercise and it keeps the neighbors on their toes.

Get a free library card. Choose workout DVD's, new music, exercise books and magazines. Even better if you can walk or ride a bike there!

Book Review of Sneaky Fitness; Fun, Foolproof ways to slip fitness in your everyday life

You can go with this.....or you can go with that

100% Ford girl here....but this Kia commercial makes me happy

Hello again, you must have two blogs. Or I goofed. I am limited to what I can do because of a car accident, but I found the weight watcher program works well for me.

I taught my oldest daughter the value of FREE so well that when we boarded a plane one year and she found the barf bags, she was so happy to have found a free item that she carried it off the plane with her.
