Game On!
The Game On! Diet plan was created by Az Ferguson to help Krista Vernoff, the co-autor to lose her pregnancy weight.
Krista is a the head writer for “Grey’s Anatomy.” Long work hours...a mom...I get it, fitting in working out is tough.
Game On! is the perfect program for competitive types, like me. The whole program is set up like a game, there are points gained for healthy meals, points lost for unhealthy meals, points gained and lost for water consumption, sleep and exercise as well as the integration of new good habits (ie: meditation, reading) and the elimination of bad habits (ie: television, computer games.)
Whether a player wants to lose pounds, tone up or just change an unhealthy lifestyle, Game On! is the most fun that can be had accomplishing those goals.
Hydrate! In the book they stress hydration....first thing, "after waking up, drink 2 cups of warm water. Then half an hour later drink another 2 cups of warm water. You are dehydrated from your overnight sleep and this is the best way to get your energy up first thing in the morning. It also keeps you regular and you only have 2 liters to go for the whole rest of the day."
Intensity! Game on! really shines in the exercise section. Doable yet challenging suggestions for fitting in - High Intensity Interval Training. The main idea is to maximize your time by alternating regular walking, running, biking, swimming...with high intensity intervals. Vary the intensity every minute, mix it up and WIN! Game On!
